Our story
Founded in 1984, Labcor specialized in the manufacture of biological prostheses, acquiring certifications and worldwide recognition in the development and production for the surgical market.
Currently headquartered in Contagem, our new manufacturing unit, just 30 minutes from Belo Horizonte/MG – Brazil, with offices in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, we have a network of partners, representatives and distributors serving the entire national territory. In addition to our certifications and international recognition, which allow us to export to several countries between the American, European and Asian continents, Labcor also develops and manufactures prostheses and components for several world-renowned companies.
Since the production of the first heart valve, Labcor has continuously developed new technologies in cardiovascular and vascular prostheses. This experience allowed the construction of a portfolio rich in biotechnological products. Our researchers share their knowledge and discoveries with publications in specialized journals and at conferences, consolidating Labcor as a leading cardiovascular bioprosthesis company in the segment.
Labcor is at the forefront of scientific research and the discovery of solutions in the development of bioprostheses, scientifically seeking solutions to save more and more lives. With a current annual production power of about 10,000 heart valves and grafts, it has already performed more than 150,000 implants worldwide.

Certificate of Good Manufacturing Practices (CBFP)
The Good Manufacturing Practices Certificate is issued by Anvisa, and attests to compliance with the regulations that govern the conduct of manufacturing medical products in Brazil, establishing procedures that guarantee quality, safety and effectiveness.
ISO 13485:2016
ISO 13485:2016 is an international standard that enables organizations to implement a Quality Management System, aimed at the medical device industry, through the establishment of a quality policy, controls and risk management.
EDQM certification
European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines, is the European certificate that guarantees that the company or product meets the criteria established by the European Pharmacopoeia. At Labcor our bovine pericardium has this certificate, meeting the criteria specified for the control and risk of BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) transmission.
